Salama Cooperative Insurance Co. “SALAMA” partners with InfoFort KSA to introduce automation robots

InfoFort, an Aramex company and leading information management solution provider in the Middle East and Africa, today signed an agreement with Salama Cooperative Insurance Company, a leading Saudi based company with more than 35 years of global experience in motor, medical, travel, malpractice and general insurance.
As per this agreement, InfoFort will roll-out its Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solution to enable Salama increase operational efficiency and reach its ambitious growth targets. This deployment also makes Salama one of the industry pioneers and the first in the market to adopt the RPA technology.
A fast-growing sector, the global spending on RPA software is estimated to reach USD 1 billion by 2020, according to Gartner. The RPA technology aims to help organisations automate mundane rule-based business processes through a software, or a “robot,” to capture and interpret data, generate responses and communicate with other digital systems, thus allowing businesses to dedicate key resources to critical tasks.
InfoFort will deploy a virtual workforce for the Saudi-based Salama’s Motor Claims department where two unattended robots will work simultaneously to sync the claims process between Najm, a semi-governmental service provider that works as an intermediary between the individuals and insurance companies, and Salama’s core insurance system.
The robots will track if the new claims were assigned to Salama or Najm, download all supporting documents related to the claims and automatically print necessary files. Once the claim has been registered on the core insurance system, it will update the status and populate requested details on Najm’s portal.
Omar Al Ajlani, CEO at Salama Cooperative Insurance, said, “Our partnership with InfoFort is central to our growth vision as we strive for greater efficiency, faster customer service and higher productivity levels. In 2016, during the 35th anniversary of Salama Cooperative Insurance Co, we launched our 2020 vision, and today we are seeing the vision being implemented through our strategic partnerships such as this one.”
In addition to the above deployment, two other robots will work hand-in-hand with operators facilitating their day-to-day work on the core insurance system and automating any tedious and repetitive tasks, in a bid to eliminate manual errors and expedite routine jobs.
“The insurance sector is often inundated with back-office processes and paperwork that can slowdown or adversely impact productivity. Due to these reasons, we are seeing a growing number of regional companies turning to automation technologies to help alleviate and streamline their workload,” Wissam Achmar, VP Digital Solutions of Infofort, said.
Commenting on the new partnership, he said, “We are pleased to introduce our new solution to KSA’s leading motor insurance provider. By automating the routine activities, Salama will not only gain competitive advantage but will also support a streamlined and efficient operations at reduced costs.”
