The PR-Arabia National Automotive Award for 2023 Announces the winners
Jeddah, November 14, 2023: Under the patronage of the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation, amid a festive atmosphere attended by the automotive community in the Kingdom and the Middle East, the city of Jeddah witnessed a special celebration with the announcement of the winners of the 11th edition of the PR-Arabia National Automotive Sector Award. This award is considered one of the largest accolades in the Middle East.
The final results announcement ceremony was attended by Faisal Abu Shosha, the National Committee Chairman for Car Agents, Sattam bin Abdulatif Al-Huzami, the CEO of the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation, and Majed bin Mohammed Qaroub, the Chairman of the Award’s Supreme Committee. Also present were agency heads, regional managers of automotive companies in the Middle East, media representatives, and influencers in this sector.
The ceremony began with a brief overview of the automotive market in the Kingdom and the events associated with this sector, especially the rapid developments in the automotive market. It also included a presentation of the award stages and the voting process for the winners.
The announcement started with the Automotive Man of the Year for 2023-2024, which was awarded to Sheikh Mohammed Youssef Naghi, who received warm congratulations from the attendees.
Following that, the results for the other award categories were announced, with 20 cars from various categories and models qualifying for the final stage, with one car from each category. The results were announced amidst joy from the agents who received their awards.
Among the notable results announced at the event was the victory of the super sports car “Chevrolet Corvette Z06” and the luxurious multi-purpose “BMW XM,” both achieving the highest percentage of votes and securing the first position in their respective categories. Additionally, the new generation of Hyundai “Azera” won the Best Family Sedan award.
The announcement of the winners in various special categories, such as marketing programs, sports activities, and media, as well as the best initiatives and innovations at the level of results and personal achievements of some companies associated with the automotive sector, followed.
In addition to announcing the winning electric cars in the newly introduced electric car category, four different models received special awards.
In the marketing programs category promoting the automotive sector and its development, the marketing team at Almajdouie Motors received the award for Best Marketing Team.
The celebration concluded with the announcement of the launch of the first National Automotive Conference in November of the following year.
Waleed Karanouh, the Secretary-General of the Award’s Supreme Committee, expressed his happiness with the success of the eleventh edition of the award, noting that it has established itself as one of the prestigious awards in the automotive world in the Middle East, honoring innovators in the automotive sector and gaining the appreciation of all.
He added, “The development and increased public participation in choosing the winners this year, along with the presence of an impartial judging committee, added credibility and transparency to the award. This reflects the high level of trust that the award now enjoys in the automotive sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”
He expressed gratitude to everyone who supported the award, emphasizing that it promotes fair competition among those working in the automotive sector in the Kingdom, ultimately benefiting customers and enhancing the services provided to them—a goal that everyone strives to achieve.
