Rosewood Jeddah organized a campaign to raise awareness of the dangers of prostate cancer, on the International Month of Prostate Cancer 2022, an initiative dedicated to the male employees of the hotel, to raise their level of awareness about this type of disease by explaining its symptoms, the importance of its early detection, as well as means of prevention.

The Event included an awareness lecture presented by Dr. Youssef Kateb – Consultant on Radiation, Oncologist, and Prostate

Through it, he disclosed the specifics of the prostate disease, causes of its occurrence, modern ways of examining it, and methods of prevention and treatment from it, as this disease is known to have a high cure rate if detected early. The seriousness of the disease lies in the absence of any symptoms at the beginning of infection, and early detection of the disease gives the patient a high chance of recovery, God willing.

This initiative is part of Rosewood Empowers’ plans to create a work environment that is trustworthy and motivating for employees to thrive both professionally and personally. As well as ensuring the psychological and physical safety and health of employees, to enhance their career growth and encourage them to achieve their goals.

It is worth noting that Rosewood Jeddah had previously organized a Breast Cancer Awareness campaign for hotel staff, in cooperation with the Zahra Association, which is heavily invested in combating breast cancer, educating the community, and providing specialized services and programs for breast cancer patients, their recoveries and their families throughout the Kingdom.
