Mobily Pay signs strategic partnership with Visa to offer customers in Saudi Arabia enhanced digital payment solutions
- The partnership provides Mobily Pay cardholders access to Visa’s worldwide network and enables them to make their online and point-of-sale purchases more secure.
Riyadh, 12 April 2022 – Mobily Pay, a subsidiary of Etihad Etisalat Company, Mobily, has announced a strategic partnership with digital payments leader, Visa, which opens up payment capabilities to consumers in the Kingdom and further contributes to Financial Sector Development Program and Vision 2030 goals.
The agreement was signed in the presence of Mr. Ayman Aleissa, Mobily Pay CEO, and Mr. Ali Bailoun Visa’s General Manager for Saudi Arabia. The partnership expands the relationship between the two parties by offering a range of services and technical financial solutions to Mobily Pay that improve the experience of customers using the Mobily Pay App.

By signing this agreement, Mobily Pay customers will now benefit from Visa’s secure payments network and the peace of mind of worldwide acceptance at its 70 million merchant partner locations,” said Mr. Ayman Aleissa.

This in turn has seen electronic payments in Saudi Arabia’s retail sector experience a huge increase with 57 percent of payments now using this method. This showcases the great strides made in the electronic payment sector and we are delighted that Mobily Pay is playing an important role,” added.
