City Centre Bahrain trains more than 600 employees on safety measures

City Centre Bahrain—the largest shopping, leisure and entertainment destination in Bahrain—offered the latest training in safety measures and firefighting to 619 employees from the mall retailers.

The workshop, led by the mall’s Operations Department, included a live session demonstrating the skills needed to handle a mock disaster to ensure the mall staff’s preparedness for emergency situations. City Centre Bahrain employees put their training in practice during fire training and performed outstandingly.

In accordance with the evacuation plan they immediately informed visitors to evacuate the mall, secured mall elevators and made sure that visitors were assembled in the designated assembly points. The training included how to effectively manage dangerous situations, such as how to extinguish fires quickly and effectively, as well as up-to-date instructions on the emergency tools available in the mall and the stores.

“Our visitor’s safety is of our upmost priority and deems our highest level of attention and training for our staff. Frequent training programs such as this ensures that our employees are equipped with the most current knowledge of how to handle potential emergency situations. By adhering to the strict standard guidelines and procedures issued by the General Directorate of Civil Defense, we can reassure our customers that they are in safe hands should a situation occur,” said Duaij Al Rumaihi, Senior Mall Manager, City Centre Bahrain.
