The Arab Monetary Fund (AMF) Organizes High Level Conference on Fostering Regional Financial Integration through Cross-border Payments
The Arab Monetary Fund (AMF) is hosting a High-Level conference on “The Role of Cross-Border Payments in Fostering Regional Financial Integration” on the 27th and 28th of March 2019,at the Intercontinental Hotel in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
This two-day event, organized in collaboration with the Deutsche Gesellschaft fürInternationaleZusammenarbeit(GIZ)GmbH, will gatherspeakers and industry leaders from international organizations, central banks, and global payment institutions such as the World Bank Group, European Central Bank,SWIFT, and Euroclear,amongst others, to discuss burning topics in this evolving industry. It will also create an open dialogue among experts on the latest regional and global cross-border payment challenges and potential solutions.
The conference will tackle a diverse range of subjects starting from the future of regional cross-border payments toindustry trends, predictions and innovations, as well as the role of technology in enabling regulatory bodies, promoting safety of financial infrastructure, and fosteringregional integration and financial inclusion.
More than 300 representatives from the payments industry, financial services providers, senior officials from Arab ministries of finance and economy, central banks and monetary authorities and capital market authorities willparticipate in this conference. They will be also joined by regional and global industry experts from commercial banks, development finance institutions, as well as key technology providers and innovators in the field of financial services, fintech, and payment systems.
During this conference, the AMF will introduce its innovative solution to current challenges which aims to enhance regional financial infrastructures as an instrument to promote economic growth and integration in the Arab world, and to strengthen economic and trade ties with the rest of the world.
