Almarai launches its new Font in collaboration with Google

During a ceremony held in Dubai, Almarai recently launched its new Arabic and Latin font in the presence of the font designer, Murad Boutros, the famous typographer, and a number of media professionals who concerned in Arabic calligraphy development.

“Through this line, the company seeks to emphasize the visual identity of the company and express the values of the brand, said Abdulla Al-Otaibi, Corporate Communications and Public Relations Manager at Almarai.

“The company offers the line for free download in cooperation with Google, for the purposes of development, design and personal use, in support of the company for Arab designers and typographers” said Alotaibi. Supporting talents is a vital cause Almarai used to support through its initiative “Almarai support Arab talents”, he added.

“We worked with a large team of designers when we were assigned by Almarai to develop this font, and we were keen during the work to create a distinctive work that adds to the excellence of Almarai as one of the largest food companies in the world, Murad Boutros said. “The line was developed in 4 different weights in Arabic and English, added Boutros.
