“Taif Season” Provides Training Support for More Than 1,500 Young Men and Women

During Taif Season, the organizers have held a number of training workshops to develop the capabilities of Saudi youth, raise service quality, and enrich the visitor experience. The programme, part of ongoing efforts to develop the Kingdom as a global tourism destination, features nine tracks and over 1,500 men and women have benefited so far, the organizers said.

The workshops aim to provide training and qualification for national cadres in participating government agencies, and workers in the tourist sector, including guides, vendors and craftsmen. The workshops included 790 men and 731 women, who applied for free registration on the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage’s website, and received certification.

The training courses included: “Enriching the visitor experience, visitor engagement skills, the concept and importance of improving quality in tourism services, the role of the organizer and mentor in enriching the tourism experience, developing the abilities and skills of the operators of tourist events, and developing the skills of product vendors, tourism, security and safety in tourism sector facilities, first aid, and basic skills in tourism guidance.”

Taif Season, being held under the umbrella of Saudi Seasons, is providing more than 70 major events through until the end of August. The season has proven extremely successful, especially with regard to the good organization and level of professionalism shown by the teams working on the events.
