RIOT Teams up with Pink Caravan for The RIOT WOMEN’S CLUB SERIES – The Extra Edition

RIOT – the online boutique for pre-loved fashion must-haves, on-trend essentials and timeless classics – gathered together Dubai’s empowered women for ‘The Extra Edition’, the second session of THE RIOT WOMEN’S CLUB SERIES, at Ramusake Dubai on Tuesday, April 30th. ‘The Extra Edition’, in partnership with Pink Caravan, celebrated the fearless women of the world who choose to embrace the thoughts, beliefs and feelings that empower them to become who they want to be and choose the lifestyle they wish to live.

Hosted by RIOT founders Maya and Tima, the intimate networking session united a host of empowered women, who discussed the societal, cultural and gender limitations they face, while also sharing the reasons why they are not afraid to be ‘Extra’ when overcoming such challenges. The wonderfully fearless Megane Quashie and immensely talented Hyku Desesto joined Maya and Tima to share their stories, before introducing the other ‘Extra’ ladies in attendance who have disrupted the status quo and broken barriers in their industries. Of course, both women were only too happy to support the brave women of Pink Caravan in the process as part of RIOT’s ethos of “giving back”.

Music programmer, DJ, forward-thinker and Grazia Middle East Music Ambassador, Megane Quashie is the founder of the ‘Female First Sessions’, a platform created in order to celebrate women and showcase a diverse line-up of female talent throughout all industries in the Middle East and across the globe. Appearing alongside Megane was Hyku Desesto, a renowned photographer who has worked with brands such as Burberry, Kenzo, Tag Heuer, Tory Burch, and Dolce & Gabbana. She is among the top influential Filipinos in the Gulf region and her work has been featured in Grazia, Hello!, Harper’s Bazaar, Marie Claire and Vogue Arabia.
