TikTok MENA Safety Report: 17.4M Videos Removed in Q3 2025
TikTok has released its Q3 2025 Community Guidelines Enforcement Report, demonstrating the platform’s unwavering commitment to creating a safer digital environment across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. The TikTok MENA safety report reveals that 17,410,066 videos were removed between July and September 2025 for violating community guidelines across Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Lebanon, and Morocco.
Record-Breaking Global Safety Achievements
Building on enhanced safety technologies introduced earlier in 2025, TikTok achieved unprecedented results in content moderation. The platform reached its highest-ever rate of automated content removal at 91%, while the proactive removal rate peaked at 99.3% for content identified before user reports. Additionally, 94.8% of violative content was removed within 24 hours, significantly reducing community exposure to harmful material.
These technological advances allow TikTok’s safety teams to focus on areas requiring human expertise, including handling appeals, consulting external experts, and responding to rapidly evolving situations. The platform also removed over 22 million suspected underage accounts globally during Q3 2025, reinforcing its commitment to age-appropriate experiences.
TikTok MENA Safety Report: Country-by-Country Breakdown
In Saudi Arabia, TikTok removed 3,861,844 videos with a 99.2% proactive removal rate and 96.7% of content removed within 24 hours. Egypt saw 3,024,039 video removals with an impressive 99.6% proactive rate, while the platform banned 197,881 LIVE hosts and interrupted 834,242 livestreams in the country.
The United Arab Emirates recorded 1,032,534 video removals with a 99.0% proactive removal rate. TikTok also banned 73,702 LIVE hosts and interrupted 168,205 livestreams to maintain platform integrity. In Morocco, 792,737 videos were removed with a 99.3% proactive rate and 95.6% removed within 24 hours.
Iraq led the region with 7,441,506 video removals, achieving a 99.6% proactive removal rate. The platform banned 295,639 LIVE hosts and disrupted 1,292,381 livestreams. Lebanon maintained the highest proactive removal rate in the region at 99.7%, removing 1,257,406 videos while banning 15,865 LIVE hosts.
Enhanced LIVE Content Moderation and User Appeals
TikTok suspended 32,242,750 LIVE sessions globally in Q3 2025, demonstrating continued investment in advanced moderation technologies. Across MENA, the platform proactively interrupted over 2,485,065 livestreams and banned 623,991 LIVE hosts for guideline violations.
The platform maintains transparency through its content appeal process. Iraq saw the highest number of restored videos at 259,780, followed by Saudi Arabia with 195,711, Egypt with 150,197, the UAE with 48,675, Morocco with 39,176, and Lebanon with 31,703. These figures underscore TikTok’s commitment to balancing strong enforcement with user trust and accountability.
TikTok also enforced monetization guidelines, taking action on 2,107,177 LIVE sessions and 3,914,684 LIVE creators globally for violations. The platform continues to reward creators who stream safe, authentic, and high-quality content while maintaining strict standards for monetization eligibility.
