Samsung Unveils Freestyle+ AI-Powered Portable Projector Ahead of CES 2026

Samsung Electronics has announced the global launch of the Samsung Freestyle+ projector, an AI-powered portable device designed to deliver flexible entertainment experiences across various spaces. Unveiled ahead of CES 2026 in Las Vegas, the device builds on the original Freestyle design while introducing enhanced AI capabilities and improved brightness.

AI OptiScreen Technology for Smart Projection

The Samsung Freestyle+ projector features AI OptiScreen, Samsung’s screen optimization technology that automatically adjusts picture quality to different environments. Users can point, place and start watching without manual adjustments.

The AI OptiScreen system includes several automated features: 3D Auto Keystone corrects distortion on uneven surfaces like corners and curtains, Real-time Focus maintains image clarity as the projector moves, Screen Fit adjusts images to match compatible screen accessories, and Wall Calibration analyzes projection surfaces to minimize visual distractions.

Vision AI Companion integrates enhanced Bixby with AI services from global partners, enabling natural interaction with on-screen content through conversational commands.

Enhanced Brightness and Flexible Design

The compact cylindrical projector delivers 430 ISO Lumens, nearly double the brightness of its predecessor, making content visible in everyday lighting conditions. The 180-degree rotating design supports projection onto walls, floors, and ceilings without additional mounts or accessories.

Built-in entertainment features include access to Samsung TV Plus, certified OTT service partners, and Samsung Gaming Hub, eliminating the need for external devices. The integrated 360-degree speaker provides room-filling audio, while Q-Symphony compatibility allows synchronization with Samsung soundbars for enhanced sound quality.

“The Freestyle+ reflects Samsung’s vision to create displays that adapt naturally to how people live and move between spaces,” said Hun Lee, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics. “By combining true portability with intelligent AI that optimizes both the viewing environment and the content itself, The Freestyle+ makes it easier to enjoy a consistent, high-quality experience wherever you are.”
