Prince Sultan University and Ruder Finn Celebrate Completion of Executive Training Program First Edition

The Executive Training Program concluded its inaugural edition in Saudi Arabia as Prince Sultan University and Ruder Finn, a global integrated communications agency, celebrated the achievements of emerging Saudi communications talent. The closing ceremony on January 31, 2026, marked a significant milestone in developing future-ready public relations professionals aligned with Saudi Vision 2030.

Launched on January 7, 2026, the intensive three-week program combined interactive workshops with hands-on project work tailored specifically to the Saudi market. The initiative builds on Ruder Finn’s nearly 50 years of training experience across North America and other key global markets, now adapted to meet the unique needs of Saudi Arabia’s evolving communications landscape.

Capstone Project Showcases Saudi Talent

Students participating in the Executive Training Program were challenged with a comprehensive capstone brief requiring them to design an integrated communications campaign for a Saudi-relevant scenario. All teams submitted their final projects for evaluation by a judging panel comprising senior Ruder Finn leaders, who shortlisted the top three submissions for final presentation.

The three finalist teams presented their campaigns in person during the closing ceremony, demonstrating their audience insight, creativity, strategic thinking, and ability to adapt global best practices to local culture and market dynamics. The winning team has been offered full-time positions at Ruder Finn Saudi Arabia upon graduation, while the two runner-up teams received internship opportunities with the agency.

Building Future Communications Leaders

The program represents a strategic investment in developing Saudi Arabia’s next generation of communications professionals. By combining theoretical knowledge with practical application, participants gained valuable skills in strategic communications, campaign development, and cultural adaptation essential for success in the modern public relations landscape.

Industry Partnership Strengthens Talent Pipeline

“Our partnership with Prince Sultan University was never meant to be just another item on a training calendar. Seeing these students take on a real brief, defend their thinking, and sharpen their campaigns in front of a judging panel has been genuinely energizing. Their capstone work showed a real feel for Saudi audiences and a strong instinct for building thoughtful, culturally grounded communications. We’re delighted to be welcoming the winning team as future colleagues, and equally pleased to open our doors to the runner-up teams through internships.”

Future Outlook for Communications Training

The successful completion of this inaugural edition sets a strong foundation for future iterations of the program. As Saudi Arabia continues its transformation under Vision 2030, the demand for skilled communications professionals who understand both global standards and local nuances will only increase. This partnership between academia and industry demonstrates a practical approach to bridging the skills gap and preparing young Saudis for leadership roles in the communications sector.

The program’s emphasis on real-world application, combined with direct pathways to employment and internships, provides a model for effective talent development in the Kingdom’s rapidly evolving professional services landscape.
