Lucid Air Grand Touring joins Dubai Police Fleet of Tourist Security Patrols
Dressed in the force’s full livery, Dubai Police has unveiled its latest tourist police patrol Lucid Air Grand Touring, one of the most advanced electric vehicles.
His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, received a detailed handover from Faisal Sultan, Vice President and Managing Director Middle East at Lucid, at the Dubai Police Officers Club.
The event was attended by His Excellency Major General Expert Khalil Ibrahim Al Mansouri, Assistant Commandant for Criminal Investigation Affairs; His Excellency Major General Abdullah Ali Al Ghaithi, Assistant Commandant for Operations Affairs; Brigadier Ali Khalfan Al Mansouri, Director of the General Department of Community Happiness; Brigadier Harib Al Shamsi, Director of the General Department of Criminal Investigation, and several officers and employees.
Lt. Gen. Al Marri emphasised that this initiative reflects Dubai Police’s commitment to supporting the UAE’s vision for a green economy and aligns with the Dubai Quality of Life Strategy 2033 by embracing the latest technologies and systems that promote sustainable and eco-friendly development. “The initiative also includes measures to reduce carbon emissions and prioritise clean energy in daily operations,” he added.
Lt. Gen. Al Marri also noted that the introduction of the distinctive, electric, and eco-friendly Lucid Air Grand Touring enhances the electric patrol fleet of the Tourist Police Department. “This initiative promotes police visibility, particularly in tourist areas and during community events, while strengthening the connection between Dubai Police and the community,” he continued.
Faisal Sultan, Vice President and Managing Director Middle East at Lucid expressed, “We are proud to support the electrification efforts of the Dubai Police fleet. Through the agreement, Dubai Police will incorporate the ‘Lucid Air Grand Touring’ model into its fleet, further demonstrating its commitment to excellence in all areas of service and duty, from community policing to transportation.
