Lenovo Unveils Qira AI: Cross-Device Personal Intelligence at CES 2026

Lenovo has introduced Lenovo Qira AI, a personal ambient intelligence system that operates seamlessly across devices at CES 2026. Unlike traditional AI assistants, this system-level intelligence works continuously in the background, understanding context and anticipating user needs across PCs, tablets, smartphones, and wearables.

Lenovo Qira AI: System-Level Intelligence Across Devices

The new intelligence platform represents a significant shift from app-based AI to ambient system-level processing. Lenovo Qira AI operates as a single intelligence carried consistently across Lenovo and Motorola devices, maintaining continuity as users shift between screens, tasks, and environments.

“Lenovo Qira is not another assistant, it’s a new way intelligence shows up across your devices,” said Dan Dery, VP of AI Ecosystem in Lenovo’s Intelligent Devices Group. “Our goal is to make AI feel less like a tool you use and more like an intelligence that works with you, continuously and naturally.”

Core Features and Capabilities

The system operates on three core attributes that distinguish it from traditional chatbots. Presence integrates the AI at system level with multiple natural entry points, accessible through “Hey, Qira” voice commands, dedicated keys, or persistent interface elements.

  • Actions: Orchestrates tasks across apps and devices using local AI capabilities, including offline functionality
  • Perception: Builds a fused knowledge base combining user interactions, memories, and documents with privacy controls
  • Next Move: Offers proactive, contextual suggestions based on current activities
  • Write For Me: Assists with writing across emails, documents, and messages directly on the canvas
  • Live Interaction: Enables real-time, multimodal interaction during screen or camera sharing

Partnership Ecosystem and Availability

Lenovo Qira AI leverages partnerships with Microsoft Azure for cloud capabilities, Stability AI for on-device image generation, Notion for workspace integration, Perplexity for contextual search, and Expedia Group for travel planning. The hybrid architecture prioritizes on-device processing to maintain data privacy.

The Lenovo Qira experience is designed to be secure, ethical, and accountable.

Launch Timeline and Device Support

The intelligence system will roll out on select Lenovo devices in Q1 2026, expanding to supported Motorola smartphones thereafter. Existing Lenovo AI Now users will receive seamless over-the-air upgrades, with broader device expansion planned over time. The system will appear as Lenovo Qira on Lenovo devices and Motorola Qira on Motorola products, delivering unified personal AI across all form factors.
