HUMAIN Receives NVIDIA Chips for Major AI Infrastructure Project in Saudi Arabia

Saudi-backed AI company HUMAIN receives NVIDIA chips as part of one of the world’s largest artificial intelligence infrastructure projects, with CEO Tarek Amin announcing the arrival of the first batch of advanced NVIDIA AI GPUs.

First Shipment of Advanced AI Hardware Arrives

HUMAIN CEO Tarek Amin confirmed via LinkedIn that the company has received its first delivery of cutting-edge NVIDIA AI GPUs, building on the successful delivery of Groq chips completed last year. The shipment marks a significant milestone in the company’s aggressive AI infrastructure expansion.

According to Amin, technical teams are now focused entirely on rapid infrastructure deployment, ensuring all systems are fully operational before the start of the new year. This accelerated timeline reflects the company’s ambitious approach to building world-class AI infrastructure at scale.

US Commerce Department Approval Enables Major Chip Deal

In November 2024, the US Commerce Department granted approval for advanced semiconductor exports to HUMAIN and G42, coinciding with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s first visit to the United States since 2018. This approval represents significant US support for both countries’ AI ambitions.

The Commerce Department authorized both companies to purchase up to 35,000 Blackwell chips from NVIDIA, with an estimated value of approximately $1 billion. However, the approvals are conditional on meeting security requirements and reporting obligations.

Massive Expansion Plans and Future Partnerships

HUMAIN previously announced plans to purchase 600,000 chips from NVIDIA as part of its broader infrastructure strategy. The company is also developing joint data centers in Saudi Arabia with Elon Musk’s xAI, including a facility with 500 megawatts of capacity.

The successful delivery of HUMAIN NVIDIA chips positions the Saudi-backed company as a major player in global AI infrastructure development, with Amin expressing optimism about promising prospects in the company’s AI sector expansion journey.
