Hilton Hotels in Saudi Arabia: A Milestone of 100 Properties

Hilton Hotels in Saudi Arabia are set to achieve a remarkable milestone this year, with the global hospitality brand on course to reach 100 hotels operating and in the pipeline across the Kingdom. This strategic expansion reflects Hilton’s commitment to growth in one of the Middle East’s fastest-growing tourism markets.
Hilton’s Diverse Expansion Across Saudi Arabia
Hilton’s robust portfolio in Saudi Arabia spans multiple hotel categories, from luxury brands like Waldorf Astoria and Conrad to midscale offerings such as Hampton by Hilton and Hilton Garden Inn. As of now, Hilton operates 20 hotels in the Kingdom, with another 77 properties in various stages of development. This significant expansion includes luxury, lifestyle, and full-service hotels, all aligned with Saudi Vision 2030.
The Kingdom’s transformation as a global tourism hub has created vast opportunities for Hilton to introduce more of its brands. From religious destinations like Makkah and Madinah to emerging tourist hotspots such as NEOM and The Avenues – Riyadh, Hilton’s presence is set to redefine the hospitality landscape in Saudi Arabia.
Hilton’s Contribution to Job Creation
One of the most significant impacts of Hilton’s expansion in Saudi Arabia is job creation. With a pipeline of 100 hotels, the company expects to generate over 15,000 jobs across its properties. This aligns with the Kingdom’s efforts to diversify its economy and increase local employment.
Guy Hutchinson, President of Hilton for the Middle East & Africa, emphasized the importance of this growth, stating, “Saudi Arabia is undergoing a remarkable transformation, and we are proud to be playing a leading role in it becoming a top global tourism destination.”
Launch of Spark by Hilton in Makkah
Among Hilton’s most notable recent developments is the introduction of its premium economy brand, Spark by Hilton, in Makkah. The Spark by Hilton Makkah Aziziyah will be the first of its kind in the Middle East, offering 329 guest rooms in a prime location near Masjid Al-Haram. This new brand is designed to provide affordable, high-quality accommodation for religious travelers and tourists alike.
Carlos Khneisser, Vice President of Development for Hilton Middle East & Africa, highlighted the company’s commitment to expanding its footprint, stating, “We are excited about reaching 100 hotels in Saudi Arabia, as we continue to diversify our portfolio and support the Kingdom’s tourism growth.”
A Commitment to Saudi Vision 2030

Hilton’s investments not only enhance the hospitality sector but also support the local economy by creating jobs, promoting tourism, and partnering with local businesses.
