Ford MYNM Partners with Saudi Triathlete for 24-Hour Diabetes Awareness Challenge
Ford MYNM diabetes awareness took center stage in Jeddah as Mohamed Yousuf Naghi Motors – Ford sponsored Saudi triathlete Yasmeen Shaaban’s ambitious 24-Hour Movement Challenge. The athlete completed over 100 km on foot along the Jeddah Corniche, raising awareness for Type 1 Diabetes while demonstrating the power of determination and community support.
Ford F-150 Provides Critical Support Throughout Challenge
As the lead sponsor, Ford MYNM provided comprehensive support by supplying an F-150 pickup truck as the official support vehicle. The truck accompanied Yasmeen throughout the entire 24-hour period from November 21 to November 22, delivering essential logistical, hydration, medical, and equipment support.
The challenge aligned strategically with World Diabetes Day and collaborated with Sela Medical Group’s Type 1 Diabetes Day. Community supporters walked alongside Yasmeen at various points during the event, creating a powerful sense of unity and shared purpose.

Athlete’s Inspiring Journey with Type 1 Diabetes
Yasmeen Shaaban, who has lived with Type 1 Diabetes since age three, has become one of Saudi Arabia’s most inspiring endurance sports figures. Her athletic achievements include completing Ironman 70.3 races in California and Egypt, receiving coverage on CNN, MBC, and Arab News, and becoming the first Saudi woman to complete the Riyadh Marathon.
We are incredibly proud to have supported Yasmeen in this extraordinary accomplishment. Her determination, strength, and courage reflect the very spirit of Ford.
