flynas Launches New Abha Operations Base Connecting 11 International and Domestic Routes
flynas Abha operations expansion begins March 29, as the leading low-cost carrier establishes its fifth operational hub in Saudi Arabia. The new base at Abha International Airport launches in partnership with Cluster2 company and the Aseer Development Authority, making flynas the first Saudi airline to operate from five different hubs across the Kingdom.
Comprehensive Route Network from flynas Abha Operations
The first phase introduces direct flights to 11 destinations, combining international and domestic connectivity. International routes include six permanent services to Dubai, Cairo, Istanbul, and Addis Ababa, plus seasonal flights to Kuwait and Trabzon.
Domestic connectivity covers five existing destinations: Riyadh, Dammam, Jeddah, Madinah, and Tabuk. The airline plans to gradually double the number of destinations linked to this new hub, expanding Saudi Arabia’s aviation network.
Strategic Vision Behind the Expansion
The launch of our new operations base in Abha represents a strategic investment designed to build an integrated national operating network. Beyond operational growth, the hub aims to stimulate economic and tourism development in the Aseer region, supporting the goal of transforming it into a year-round global tourist destination.
Bander Almohanna, CEO and Managing Director of flynas
This expansion directly supports the National Civil Aviation Strategy and Saudi Vision 2030 objectives. The new hub complements flynas’ existing operations bases in Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, and Madinah.
