AMD appoints Almaha Albulaihe to drive business development in Saudi Arabia
AMD has appointed Almaha Albulaihe as a Territory Executive to increase support for customers and partners in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). Albulaihe joins AMD from her previous role as an Emerging Technologies Expert at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology of Saudi Arabia (MCIT) – bringing a wealth of public sector experience and understanding of national digital strategy and governance.
“Almaha brings invaluable experience from MCIT, where she had a proven track record of delivering high-impact initiatives aligned to Vision 2030, evolving AI and data regulations, and increasing public sector engagement in Saudi,” said Zaid Ghattas, General Manager, Middle East, Türkiye and Africa, AMD. “Her deep understanding of Saudi Arabia’s public sector technology ecosystem makes her well-placed to help strengthen our position in the Kingdom.”
As a key player in the regional AI and data center landscape, KSA is a strategic focus for AMD, alongside the UAE, driven by its broad portfolio of performance leadership data center CPUs and AI Accelerators. Saudi’s focus on sovereign compute and AI capabilities aligns with the AMD mission to deliver open, scalable, and high-performance computing solutions. In May 2025, AMD signed a strategic $10bn collaboration with HUMAIN to advance global AI, and an MOU with the Saudi Data & AI Authority (SDAIA) to foster collaboration on AI development in the Kingdom.
“AMD has a clear regional vision – backed by its leading portfolio of computing solutions – which resonates strongly with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals around digital transformation and innovation,” said Almaha Albulaihe, KSA Territory Executive, AMD. “I am excited by the opportunity to help drive growth in this dynamic, rapidly evolving market and helping local partners and customers push the boundaries of what’s possible with AI and high-performance computing.”
Albulaihe will be based at the AMD branch office in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. She will cover several key regional markets including Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain, as well as KSA
