Fingerprint Reader
HUAWEI MateBook X Pro’s fingerprint reader depends on using scanned images of the user’s finger to verify their identity and confirm their authorization to access and use the computer. Thanks to the fingerprint recognition application, a user can log in to apps and secure websites through a fingerprint scan instead of typing their credentials, which usually takes some time and can be, somehow, accessed by others.
Using a special app, Huawei ensured fingerprint data encryption that enables data decryption within fractions of a second to match the scanned fingerprint with the saved and encrypted data on HUAWEI MateBook X Pro’s memory. The fingerprint sensor complements perfectly Microsoft Windows Hello technology, ensuring no data can be accessed by the operating system or the certified apps.
Hideaway Camera
Throughout the past years, many users have experienced cyberattacks to spy on them by turning on their laptops’ cameras without their knowledge, leading some users to cover their laptops’ cameras with stickers due to the fear of being secretly filmed by hackers. Even though this method is useful, it is not a practical one and it greatly messes up the laptop’s exterior.
