Huawei Sponsors Ramadan Iftar Campaign

To promote charity work during the holy month of Ramadan, Huawei Saudi sponsored “Iftar” campaign for the second year in a row, which is executed by the Social Responsibility Club at King Saud University (KSU) in Riyadh to help people who are fasting by distributing iftar meals on the streets and at traffic signals.


The campaign, organized by KSU Citizenship Club, was launched under the sponsorship of Huawei Saudi in Riyadh city, targeting different areas and traffic signals of heavy traffic to eliminate car accidents during iftar time


Moreover, the campaign aims at distributing 500 thousand iftar meals through a food-distribution specialized and trained team, where it is divided to cover as many areas as possible in several cities across the Kingdom to distribute iftar meals prior to iftar time so people who are fasting don’t miss out on iftar and encourage drivers as well as passersby to follow traffic and safety rules without speeding.


Huawei revealed the reason for its sponsorship to this campaign, which is to promote more sense of social cohesion and fraternization in an alignment with the values of the holy month of Ramadan that promote charitable deeds and encourage all groups of the society to follow the objectives of the duty of fasting through community solidarity. Huawei emphasized on its prioritization of sponsoring such activities by participating and adopting effective programs under the corporate social responsibility framework.
