Darisni, the region’s first smart-device platform that instantly connects students with qualified tutors
KSA students comprise 62% user base for breakthrough tutoring app, DarisniRiyadh, KSA, 6 November 2017: Darisni, the region’s first smart-device platform that instantly connects students with qualified tutors, has registered significant growth in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Users from the Kingdom now represent 62% of the app’s user base, having consumed more than half of the 150,000 lessons delivered through Darisni so far.
“Saudi youth have demonstrated their enthusiasm to learn using smart-device technologies that complement their traditional classroom experience,” said Muhannad Matouk, Managing Director of DARS. “Modernized teaching systems are a core component of Saudi Vision 2030, and as a smart digital solution for tutoring support, Darisni enables students in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to access learning support through the technology they all have in their pocket – their smartphones.”

Through Darisni, students can access tutors specialised in Arabic, English, and Mathematics, at competitive rates that are approximately 25% of the price of what a traditional private tutor would charge. The pay-per-minute model averages SAR 37 per hour, which can be paid using internationally-recognised payment gateways such as VISA, MasterCard, and OneCard. Other payment options, such as SADAD, will be implemented shortly to better serve Darisni users in the Saudi Arabia.
The simple to use app can be downloaded for free on iPhone, iPad from the Apple Store, and on Android smart devices from Google Play. School and university students can use the multi-subject platform to connect with subject specialists, who will then assist them with the learning and understanding required to answer their questions. Each tutor accepted by Darisni undergoes a rigorous selection process, and all interactions are monitored to ensure quality. Students can also rate their tutor at the end of each session, so that Darisni can ensure only the highest-rated tutors continue to provide educational support through the app.
