FIRST TRUE GAMING ROUTER WRT32X MAKES REGIONAL DEBUT AT GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK 2017

The regional debut of the Linksys WRT™ gaming edition router – the WRT32X geared towards serious gamers makes it regional debut at GITEX Technology Week 2017.

Linksys® – a leader in home and business networking solutions – will have a prominent presence at the mammoth trade show, the largest of its kind worldwide.

“Research by Newszoo’s Global Gaming Market Report indicates gamers in the Middle East and Africa could generate a massive $4 billion in revenue this year,” said Amanullah Khan, Managing Director, Linksys, Middle East, Turkey & Africa. “In terms of revenue, Saudi Arabia and the UAE are the top gaming markets in the region, which makes us especially excited to showcase the WRT32X at GITEX here in Dubai.”

Linksys teamed up with Rivet Networks, makers of the award winning line of high-performance Killer™ Networking products for desktop and notebook PCs, to deliver the WRT32X – the latest edition of the WRT™ gaming router.

Incorporating the Killer Prioritization Engine (KPE), exclusive to Linksys products worldwide, it is the only router optimized for high-speed gaming. Serious online gamers with Killer-enabled gaming PCs experienced unrivaled capabilities, with lag and peak ping times lowered by an astonishing 77%. The new firmware and graphical user interface (GUI) was also custom-built from the ground up, with a focus on monitoring and controlling gaming network traffic.

The WRT32X is being rolled out to leading retailers in the UAE including Sharaf DG, Carrefour, Emax, Lulu, Plug Ins, Jumbo, ECity, and EROS, for an estimated MSRP of AED 1,329. More details can be found in the WRT32X product video.

Linksys will exhibit in Hall 2 under the ‘Gulf Comms’ category at GITEX Technology Week 2017, which runs at Dubai World Trade Centre from 8-12 October.
