Managed FZ-LLC Offers Complete Patch Management Solutions for Cyber-Vulnerable Businesses & Organizations

The recent WannaCry and Petya ransomware outbreaks were devastating attacks with over 400,000 machines infected with WannaCry in 150+ countries. Conducted on an unprecedented scale, these attacks were maximized by unpatched machines allowing the malware to exploit vulnerabilities like Windows EternalBlue.

Unfortunately, even though many companies are aware of the risks, for various reasons, the proper patching of software and hardware is still not a high priority. The effects of not patching endanger a company’s cyber well-being by exposing them as a vulnerable target to malware and ransomware.

Managed FZ-LLC, leaders in the Managed Security Services industry, has presented their Managed Patching Service, or MPS. The ongoing service is performed alongside a Managed Authorized System Integration Partner. It uses a combination of full asset inventory and security assessment coupled with security advisories from hardware and software vendors. This way, it ensures that patches specific to a company’s assets are deployed and configured quickly.

The MPS process begins with an on-site asset inventory and a network architecture review to ensure that all mentioned systems are configured and working properly. After that, a full assessment of LAN/Wi-Fi traffic, along with Vulnerability scans, is performed. These help to establish the cyber health of the infrastructure.

Then, the expert Engineers evaluate the results of the assessments and set up a staging environment for the patches to test their compatibility with the client systems and applications. Finally, after the patching schedules are set up and configured, Managed and the system integration partner deploys the patches on the servers and systems. This information is also shown on the MPS dashboard to the client.

The MPS dashboard, which is included in the service, shows what patches are being installed or installed when the next patch is due and how many times patches have been applied. Besides, the MPS works with Managed’s proprietary MSA security advisory service to notify IT Engineers and Managers about the latest patches and if any threats have emerged, prompting emergency patches.
