Empower supports Emiratisation efforts by attracting young Emirati talents
Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (EMPOWER), the world’s largest district cooling services provider, has stated that Emiratisation and attracting young Emirati talents were and will be an integral part of the company’s strategy for the upcoming years. Empower supports the efforts of the government, to provide the right platforms to communicate with the national cadres from the universities all over the country.
As such, since the beginning of this year, Empower participated in many career fairs. On 22 February, Empower took part in the Career Fair hosted by The Dubai Men’s College. And on 21 March, Empower participated in the career fair at The American University in Dubai (AUD). Via these participations, Empower aimed, as leading national company in the district cooling field, to introduce the company to students of universities with the goal of hiring the young talents in the company as part of its Emiratisation’s drive.
“Emiratisation is one of the most integral parts of Empower’s strategy for the upcoming years. Empower has been inspired on this strategy from the directive of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to depend on the local cadres in all the companies in the public and private sectors. These directives were reflected in the establishment of the Ministry of Human Resources & Emiratisation and Human Capital department,” said HE Ahmad Bin Shafar, CEO of Empower.
“Thanks to the ongoing governmental support, young Emiratis now are more than qualified to perform perfectly in any position they are hired to work in. Young, talented Emiratis only need to get the opportunities to prove their ability to excel and achieve. Trust combined with proper training is the key to get the best results from employees. We, at Empower, always hire qualified workforces, then we grant them the proper training and trust needed to work, create, and achieve in his position,” added HE Ahmad Bin Shafar.
“Empower is always part of the career fairs organised by universities and training institutes in the UAE. We aim from these participations first to attract the best young Emirati talents, because investment in national human resources outweighs investing in technologies and new projects. Secondly, we aim to introduce Empower to the young Emiratis as a leading national company which can be an example of success and achievements,” concluded Bin Shafar.
Empower currently operates more than 1.250 Million RT, providing environmentally responsible district cooling services to large-scale real estate developments such as Jumeirah Group, Business Bay, Jumeirah Beach Residence, Dubai International Financial Centre, Palm Jumeirah, Jumeirah Lake Towers, Ibn Battuta Mall, Discovery Gardens, Dubai Healthcare City, Dubai World trade Centre Residences, Dubai Design District, among others.
