Virgin Mobile Saudi Arabia Reveal’s Its “Young At Heart” Headquarters in Riyadh

Virgin Mobile Saudi Arabia has officially launched its all new, youth centric office concept on under the patronage of his Royal Highness, Prince Mohammed bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Virgin Mobile’s Chairman of the Board.


During a media discussion at the opening event, his Royal Highness, Prince Mohammed bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, congratulated the Virgin Mobile team and expressed his gratitude for the hard work and commitment the team has shown over the last period, both of which have been drivers to the company’s success. His Royal Highness then proceeded to officially open Virgin Mobile’s new headquarters, which reflects the company’s true identity. The office features a fully open space and offers a variety of entertainment and leisure amenities, to further elaborate Virgin’s fun and encouraging atmosphere


Fouad Halawi, CEO of Virgin Mobile Saudi Arabia, shed light on the company’s aspirations for 2017 moving forward. With highlights including; the MVNO’s plans to surpass 2.5 million subscribers, ambitions for promoting growth in the telecom industry in the Kingdom, as well as some of their plans to launch several initiatives that focus on youth and women empowerment in the telecom and tech industries.


Mr. Halawi said, “Virgin Mobile’s new distinct identity here in Saudi Arabia marks a milestone in the company’s journey in the Kingdom. It is through our new headquarters that we aim to reflect the creative and youthful characteristics of the globally recognized Virgin brand.

The new office will exude a playful ambience as well as cultivate an environment of creativity that will surly help and motivate employees deliver their best. He added, “Virgin Mobile has, since its establishment in 2014 as the first MVNO, succeeded in achieving and solidifying a prominent position in the telecom industry of Saudi Arabia, with over 2.5 million subscribers to date.

And it is with our new office and fresh outlook for 2017 that we aim to expand Virgin Mobile’s operations as well as introduce several pioneering initiatives enabling the Saudi youth and women to take a more substantial and influential role in the Kingdom’s telecom market”


Finally, during the opening ceremony, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammad commented on a question asked by some of the media representatives about the fingerprinting law passed for all telecom operators. To which he responded that the law was passed for security purposes in the Kingdom, which we fully support and encourage, and is imperative to ensure that telecom companies are dealing with real subscribers.

He added that prior to the law, prepaid customers represented 84% of the telecom market, after the la was issued we noticed a balance in the number of subscribers of prepaid versus postpaid
The opening featured a full tour of the office’s many entertainment amenities for the attendees, which included journalists from the Kingdom’s prominent news publications, news portals, and broadcast media, in addition to Virgin Mobile Group’s board of directors. During the tour, the attendees were given the chance to experience the office’s new identity and try first-hand the many facilities available to the staff and visitors.
