YAS HEAT RACING SECURES HISTORIC DOUBLE PODIUM IN FORMULA 4 UAE SEASON OPENER AT YAS MARINA CIRCUIT

Yas Marina Circuit, Abu Dhabi, UAE, 17 January 2023: Throughout a thrilling racing weekend at Yas Marina Circuit, the season opener for this year’s Formula 4 UAE Championship saw historic finishes for the next generation of stars, with Yas Heat Racing’s Keanu Al Azhari and rookie Zack Scoular securing strong starts to the 2024 season.
The first round of the new F4 UAE season saw fresh faces and future stars of the region’s racing scene take to the Yas Marina Circuit track, as returning star Keanu Al Azhari emerging with podium finishes to begin the new season in style. Al Azhari would continue his strong start to his second season with the team, taking 2 pole positions in impressive fashion during the early qualifying sessions before securing a double podium finish on his return to racing in Abu Dhabi.
The opening round of action also provided Yas Heat Racing rookie, Zack Scoular with the perfect home environment to begin the season, as the young Australian secured a top 10 finish in his first race weekend for the team. The result featured alongside a historic first, with Yas Heat ambassador Rashid Al Dhaheri securing a podium finish leading to the Yas Heat Racing’s first ever triple Top-10 in the Formula 4 UAE Championship to cap off a thrilling start to the season.
With three championships taking to the Yas Marina Circuit track across the all-action racing weekend, the Formula Regional Middle East Championship made its return with the first round featuring 29 drivers from 9 teams taking to the track in Abu Dhabi. PHM AIX Racing’s Taylor Barnard got off to a fast start, winning 2 of the opening 3 races of the weekend to lead the championship, as the championship continues in Abu Dhabi with Round 2 from 19-21 January.
In the Clio Cup Middle East, the fourth round of action saw Uniq’s Eduardo Miranda extend his championship lead, securing a double podium as the season enters its final weeks, with the final round of action set to conclude the thrilling championship at Yas Marina Circuit on 11th February.
