CITIZEN forays into online retail with launch of Online Store- citizenshop.me

CITIZEN is proud to announce their foray into online retail with the launch of their Online Store (www.citizenshop.me), accessible through the company website, dedicated to watch lovers in the Middle East. With the launch of their e-shop, CITIZEN has brought their entire range of timepieces right to the laptop and smartphone screens of their myriad customers across the region, opening up a seamless, interactive e-customer experience.

CITIZEN’s move into online retail, comes as the region is in the process of a rapid transformation in the way business is done and goods are bought and sold, with e-commerce becoming an ever more significant segment of the retail mix. Research indicates that the e-commerce market in the MENA region is expected to be worth US$ 200 billion by 2020. The UAE is expected to be a key e-commerce market with a dominant market share of 53% of the total GCC market. Saudi Arabia with 14%, Oman with 12% and Qatar at 10% are the other significant GCC players.
