Based on data released by the Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK), the value of credit and debit card transactions, which serves as a proxy for consumer spending, demonstrated a strong growth of 13.8 percent year-on-year (3.8 percent quarter-on-quarter) during the first quarter of 2023.
