Achieving a 17-minute average response time for all traffic accidents Najm Charts Another Success Story at 1443 Hajj Season
Riyadh, KSA, July 31, 2022: Najm for Insurance Services is pleased to announce the successful conclusion of its field operations for this year’s Hajj season, in collaboration with the General Department of Traffic and the Special Forces for Road Safety. The company has achieved a 17-minute average response time for all traffic accidents around the clock, thereby ensuring the highest levels of traffic safety for nearly one million pilgrims.
Commenting on this remarkable milestone, Najm CEO Dr. Mohammad AlSuliman stated: “We are grateful for the successful conclusion of Hajj season which features our company’s cutting-edge IT capabilities and expertise. In fact, today’s announcement was the result of the outstanding efforts of our teams who completed their field duty in serving the pilgrims with great professionalism, in collaboration with the concerned official authorities. Our team of administrative and field personnel in the accidents division in the holy sites and ports have demonstrated unwavering efforts and effectively contributed to serving pilgrims from the moment they arrive at the Kingdom until their departure.”
Najm continues to deliver industry-leading services for Hajj season as it has previously equipped a fleet of around 70 vehicles and motorcycles to serve the pilgrims in the holy sites in the areas of Mina, Muzdalifah, Arafa, and the central area in the Great Mosque of Makkah, aiming to reach the accident site in a very short time after receiving the report. Throughout Hajj season, Najm has also allocated two accommodation headquarters for its Hajj task force, two accident reporting centers, and one operations dashboard for guidance and control. The company also deployed its compelling suite of e-services and applications, which include the Accident Reporting App, Reports Receiving system, IVR, WhatsApp, Guidance and Control Dashboard, and Accident Inspection App.
Najm’s participation in this religious and national occasion is consistent with its social responsibility initiatives and its corporate culture represented through Najm Al-Khair program.
It is worth noting that Saudi Arabia received nearly one million pilgrims in the 1443 Hajj season after a two-year interruption due to the pandemic. According to the General Authority for Statistics, 899,353 pilgrims made it to the holy sites this year, including 779,919 pilgrims from outside the Kingdom.
