Empower activates easy digital payments through mPay app of Dubai Smart Government

Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower), the world’s largest district cooling services provider, enabled the bill payment service through mPay app of Dubai smart Government which provides easy and safe digital payment service using credit or debit cards. This move is expected to enhance the pace of payments as it will improve the quality of services provided to Empower’s customers.
’mPay’ is a unified Dubai government application that serves as a common platform where the payment services of leading entities such as Dubai Electricity & Water Authority (DEWA), Etisalat, Dubai Municipality, du, RTA and Dubai Police, among others, are accessible. A user can visit mPay app, instead of visiting separate apps of each entity, and pay bills from mPay platform. In addition, customers can now pay Empower bills by using ‘DubaiNow application’, another Dubai Smart Government initiative that includes more than 50 smart services provided by most of the government organisations in Dubai.
“This move from Empower is in line with the vision of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and it complies with Smart City initiative to convert all the services and payment methods to digital platforms which will further enhance the quality of services we provide to our customers,” said HE Ahmad Bin Shafar, CEO of Empower.
“We are committed to achieve customers’ happiness as we seek to adopt the latest technologies to ensure easy and secured payment processes. Inclusion of Empower bill payment in mPay app is a significant step in this regard. The app is available on major operating systems such as iOS, Android, and Blackberry,” added HE Bin Shafar.
HE Bin Shafar said that a specialised team is dedicated to ensure the successful implementation of this advanced digital payment method that ensures high reliability, speed, management of complaints and ongoing service improvement.
“We always strive to improve our services. The development of this payment system is part of simplifying bill settlements. We continuously seek innovative ways that ease customers’ interaction with Empower in order to save time, efforts and rationalise operational costs. We spare no efforts to innovate and develop advanced services to our customers notably in payment procedures,” said Bin Shafar.
Empower currently operates more than 1 million 100 thousands RT, providing environmentally responsible district cooling services to large-scale real estate developments, such as Jumeirah Group, Business Bay, Jumeirah Beach Residence, Dubai International Financial Centre, Palm Jumeirah, Jumeirah Lake Towers, Ibn Battuta Mall, Discovery Gardens, Dubai Healthcare City, Dubai World Trade Centre Residences and Dubai Design District, among others.
