AlUla Moments to introduce the new immersive Agricultural and Mud Renovation Experiences.

AlUla Moments has become synonymous with authentic and engaging cultural and entertainment experiences, and visitors have responded in the droves, securing their tickets to immersive themselves in AlUla’s history, heritage and nature.
Two new experiences in AlUla offer visitors the opportunity to literally get their hands dirty. At Aljoud Farm, the Agricultural Experience offers participants the opportunity to practice traditional farming methods, giving back to nature. The Mud Renovation Experience at the Heritage Oasis Trail offers a chance to contribute to preserving and restoring one of four heritage sites in AlUla.
These experiences aim to engage local youth, visiting families, and individuals with an active role in learning sustainable agricultural methods and earthen construction practices while at the same time enjoying the community values that transcended through these traditions and were passed on to future generations.
In the agricultural experience, participants will practice citrus grafting, trimming, and harvesting, as well as planting of Moringa seedlings – the so called miracle plant that produces oils and other products with healing benefits. Immersive as well as educational, visitors will gain insights about agricultural history in AlUla.
The mud renovation experience consists of two parts: the workshop, in which visitors will learn and practice mud mixing techniques and mud bricks moulding, and the second part, hands-on participation in building and renovating part of the walls in the Heritage Oasis Trail.
Both experiences include supervision and guidance by expert technicians to ensure the adopting of original methodologies and tools. With a proven results around the mental and wellbeing benefits of being at one with nature, and endorphin increases associated with giving back to others – these activities offer a satisfying and rewarding way to experience the ancient desert city and understand the vision for the future of the burgeoning visitor destination.
The activity, produced and operated by Dooma, is open for everyone including children (for the agriculture experience, 8 years and above and for the mud renovation experience, 12 years and above).
