Bigo Live Strikes Gold with First Season of ‘1 vs 6’
Dubai-UAE: 07 December 2021 – Bigo Live, one of the MENA region’s most popular social livestreaming platforms that recently launched its first-ever weekly reality-like series titled “1 VS 6” achieved great success as thousands of Arabic speaking users tuned in every Wednesday evening to identify which famous personality was not telling the truth.
What made these livestreaming events successful was their theme-relevancy as it relates to topics, events and shows that are trending today, which helped the Bigo Live channel – MENABC1 – grow fast to attract 5,000 new subscribers at a time. The two livestream episodes that outperformed the rest during the first season of ‘1 vs 6’ were that of ‘6 Vegans vs 1 Meat Eater” and “6 Squid Game Fans Vs 1 Who’s Not a Fan”.
The Squid Game-themed event saw actor Mashari Alshumari (BIGO ID: m_gm11) and fashion blogger Eman Elwan (BIGO ID: starlive4) participate after which they shared their thoughts on their experiences and the weekly series in general.
“The game is very simple and easy to play. It’s a great ice breaker when interacting with talent from different fields in the live event and getting to know them,” said Mashari. “It’s interesting to see how many talents and good actors exist within the platform too. Fashion blogger Eman, known for her popular fashion and makeup content, also shareed a positive experience with the event stating that she loved any opportunity that allows her to build meaningful connections with the audience. She knows a lot of people took to entertainment platforms during the pandemic, and she believes in the power of livestreaming, especially since un-staged comedy can catch some of the funniest moments in its most raw form.
She personally really enjoyed the challenge and stated that she can definitely feel the spirit of the competition among the players during the event as “everybody gets super into it, and that’s what makes it immensely fun”. During her live stream, Eman also shared her style tips and advised to stick with warm colors like orange and brown this winter.
In addition to Mashari and Eman, influencers that included actors, singers, fashion bloggers and more were all invited and participated to find out who was not telling the truth.
