Driving continuous success: How HungerStation’s partnership with AppGallery has empowered greater convenience and high-quality service for customers across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; October 25th , 2021:  More than two years ago, Huawei, the global tech giant and HungerStation, the leading food delivery app in Saudi Arabia, began their partnership to bring consumers across the Kingdom greater convenience when ordering food.

HungerStation was among the first apps to join AppGallery in 2020 and become integrated with Huawei Mobile Services (HMS), where this step provided users in the Kingdom with a seamless experience from the comfort of their Huawei smart device. Since then, the partnership has only become stronger with numerous campaigns that have brought consumers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia closer to HungerStation.

Abdullah AlSaeed, Head of Partnerships in HungerStation, explained how the partnership has worked, highlighting more about the collaboration with Huawei, since HungerStation’s merger with AppGallery.

AlSaeed emphasized on the importance of HungerStation’s partnership with AppGallery and Huawei Mobile Serviceswhich “revolved around the outreach of as many customers as possible in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia”. Adding: “This partnership helped HungerStation to activate its efforts to reach a large portion of customers who use Huawei devices, especially that AppGallery, the official application distribution platform for Huawei devices, is the third-largest marketplace in the world, providing a wide variety of global and local applications across 18 categories.”

“HungerStation is among the first apps to be downloaded on AppGallery (since early 2020) and among the first to integrate HMS. This is because of HungerStation’s interest in providing a distinctive and smoother experience for customers through an application that is able to work completely locally on all Huawei devices,” Head of Partnerships said.

Moreover, AlSaeed highlighted that the partnership has been a great one. “HungerStation has worked on Huawei Mobile Services to run the app locally on AppGallery”, knowing that “HungerStation is constantly improving and updating the application to provide a better user experience”. He noted that they have worked on “several joint campaigns and activities with the AppGallery team to inform their users about the services they offer and to achieve their goals of reaching out to all their customers using Huawei devices and facilitating their use of the app”.

Furthermore, AlSaeed highlighted on the advantages of this partnership in “enabling HungerStation to become the number 1 food delivery app on the AppGallery with over 1 million downloads on the app marketplace”. He added: “The campaigns launched with Huawei have been a huge success, with the latest campaign receiving more than 17 million views on social media. This has enabled us to attract new customers, with an average of more than 30,000 new downloads”.

AlSaeed declared that the support they received from the AppGallery team during the last period was outstanding. He mentioned that Huawei offers a fully committed partnership with developers through strong collaborative relationships, enhanced development tools, an ever-expanding comprehensive system, an ever-growing user base, and the support in all technical and commercial requirements, such as achieving the goal of getting new users.  He added: “HungerStation will continue to work closely with the Huawei team to develop the business by integrating Huawei services and products and explore all new opportunities”.

Ultimately, the Head of Partnerships expressed that HungerStation will continue to collaborate more with Huawei in the future to achieve its business objectives.  He said now that they had achieved this success in the partnership, they are looking forward to more integration with Huawei’s flagship products to provide an amazing experience with different devices. The company is also currently in talks to work on launching HungerStation on the latest HUAWEI WATCH 3 Series. This will allow HungerStation’s users to order and then track their order from their flagship smartwatch live and in real-time.

He concluded saying that the company is in “talks with Huawei’s Investment team to invest in Huawei Ads and activate HungerStation on Petal Search in order to provide users with a much smoother experience when ordering their needs on Huawei’s devices from food, consumables, pharmaceuticals, rose shops, etc.”.
