Mint Stalk: An Agency’s Insights On How Digital Transformation Changed The Game

Over the past decade, companies worldwide have started the process of digitizing themselves to cope with the ever-changing and rapidly global landscape, particularly when it comes to data and automation. The terms ‘digital transformation’ has been used loosely over and over again, but often, it simply comes down to how businesses utilize, implement and operate digital technology in their activities. When the pandemic hit in 2020, this process was drastically accelerated, often at the expense of many smaller businesses who did not have the resources, time, or expertise to follow through with the demands.

Alyssa Al-Maiahi, the Founder of the Marketing Agency in the UAE, shares some insight as to how her team successfully adapted and helped their clients succeed: “We had to be fully present for our clients and guide them through this process. The team at Mint Stalk is extremely digitally savvy and qualified – it was finally the time for us to face this challenge together and focus on making it happen fast for our partners while still going at their own rhythm. We didn’t want any of them to be disadvantaged by what was coming. Even for us internally, we really had to speed up that process.”

Indeed, Mint Stalk has only been in business for 3 years, and yet, it has achieved impressive growth in its clients and overall reputation in the UAE. It simply required the team to adapt and readjust their activities and culture to find the right solutions.

She continues: “Some things were new to us, but overall, we are delighted with the outcome, and some of our clients even inspired us with their creativity. For instance, some hospitality brands we work with started opting for contactless check-ins and check-outs and keyless entry to rooms. It’s awe-inspiring how such creative ideas came about in moments of need. Some of our clients required that their activities shifted online into e-commerce platforms, something we were already familiar with and could easily assist them with. Some of them required us to organize online events and webinars, and some required more extensive use of data from our side. The list goes on! It was an incredible learning experience, and digitalizing ourselves fully really helped us help them. Our goal was to prevent losses for our clients, and I think we can safely say that we have achieved that.”
