Almarai contributes free tablets for Learn From Home initiative

Almarai has participated in Learn From Your Home initiative launched by the Governor of Riyadh, His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz which aims to support public education students with limited income. Almarai has donated 100,000 SAR to buy 500 tablets for students in Al-Kharj, benefiting from the initiative to help them have a better educational experience in the distance.

“This initiative comes from Almarai’s belief in its national duty and the sense of its social responsibility in supporting the education sector in Al-Kharj Governorate. It also comes from its intention in being part of the great support provided by the government to maintain the good quality of education during Corona pandemic”, said Abdullah Al-Otaibi, Head of Corporate Communications and Public Relations at Almarai.

He explained, “As part of our commitment in investing in human resources by supporting education and training, and developing competencies, we have launched several professional development initiatives such as the Dairy and Food Polytechnic and Almarai Sales Academy.”, and added: “In a broader context, our community participation focuses on supporting science and education through initiatives such as Almarai Scientific Innovation Award, Almarai Award of Academic Excellence for General Education Students in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, as well as, Almarai Veterinarian Award.”

It is worth mentioning that Almarai, as the largest national food company, has launched the Healthy Food Initiative in collaboration with several schools. This is by annually giving food from Almarai products to schoolchildren to be part of their healthy breakfast. The program reached more than 400,000 students in 1000 schools across the Kingdom
