Saudi Arabia – 20th January 2021: Canon Middle East (CME), a provider of imaging technologies and services, has launched the first edition of its ‘Trailblazer’ series, where they celebrate changemakers who have challenged stereotypes and altered the face of their industries. Three individuals who are bold visionaries and emulate values synonymous with Canon’s game-changing outlook have been cherrypicked from Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Kuwait to share their own inspiring ‘Epic journey.’ They have been shot in a documentary style interview on the new revolutionary EOS R5 and EOS R6, as they share the highs and lows of their journey towards realizing their grand ambitions. The interview series has been launched in conjunction with the “Create your epic” campaign, highlighting the capabilities of the newly launched EOS R5 and R6.
As the first Saudi Arabian woman and youngest female Arab to climb Mount Everest, Raha Moharrak made history in more ways than one and reveals how she needed to prove that she could achieve the impossible dream. Overcoming personal, physical, and social challenges to emerge as an inspiration for generations to come, Raha is a ‘trailblazer’ in the true sense of the word.

The interviews have been filmed using the new EOS R5 and EOS R6 cameras, two cameras that have revolutionized the imaging industry’s face. The EOS R5 is the first pro-level full-frame mirrorless camera to record 8K RAW while delivering 45-megapixel stills. The EOS R6 is a powerful and versatile camera, able to film in 4K resolution and shoot stills with 20.1 megapixels.
The interviews are supplemented by a special Behind The Scenes (BTS) segment on the CME website, detailing how the videos were created and aspiring filmmakers and photography enthusiasts’ professional tips and tricks.
