FoodKarma’s Food Rescue Revolution Continues to Grow with New Brand Partners & App Updates

FoodKarma’s Food Rescue Revolution Continues to Grow with New Brand Partners & App Updates

With the world adjusting to the new normal, FoodKarma – the disruptive, digital, food-rescuing platform – has been busy championing a new normal for food and beverage consumption. Since launching in March, FoodKarma’s food rescue revolution has gone from strength to strength, and with a host of updates and new in-app options, interest from exciting local restaurants, cafés, outlets and vendors looking to sign up as partner brands continues to soar.

You Spoke. FoodKarma Listened.

FoodKarma welcomes user feedback and is always on the lookout for ways to improve and expand the scope of its platform. Before now, karma-conscious foodies could scroll through a list of delicious meals that participating restaurants, cafés, outlets and vendors had added to the app to be rescued at discounted prices. However, they were not able to access the full menus of those brand partners without leaving the app.

As more and more people enquired about the possibility of accessing participating vendors’ full offerings, FoodKarma reached out to its brand partners and set about developing the app to incorporate their full menus. Variety is the spice of life, after all.

Now, with FoodKarma’s latest app update, when a user rescues at least one food item and adds it to his/her basket, he/she will be given access to that brand partner’s full menu – all through the FoodKarma platform, without having to leave the app.

New Brand Partners Incoming

FoodKarma is proud to announce the addition of Le Pain Quotidien, an Alshaya Group brand, to its digital food-rescuing platform. With a menu that celebrates the simplicity of fresh, nourishing food, at Le Pain Quotidien, there’s always a new favourite to discover. The latest addition to the FoodKarma app joins an ever-growing list of exciting brands that have joined the food rescue revolution:

Jones the Grocer at Dusit Thani Dubai Wild & the Moon

The Vietnamese Sandwich Co.
Appetite The Roost Rotisserie Cooloo Tamam
Pizzetta PokeMe Lizzat Biryani
Yakuza Kaak Kaaaak Keto by Foxxy
Keto Counter Levant Corner My Govinda’s
Moti Roti Sandwiches & Soul Santé Cafe
Ultra Brasserie The Monk Spill the Bean

Wholesale and a Whole Lot of Good Karma

As suppliers, producers and distributors face unprecedented challenges, FoodKarma is doing everything it can to help local food and beverage businesses through these difficult times. With that in mind, FoodKarma is expanding the scope of its network by adding a Wholesale section to the app, which gives suppliers the option to offer their fresh produce wholesale at discounted prices.

With the launch of the Wholesale section, FoodKarma also aims to help those suppliers reduce their food waste, as there has been a rise in surplus food due to a decrease in orders during the pandemic. There has already been plenty of interest from local suppliers eager to join the fight against food waste, with lots of new wholesale partner suppliers set to be announced very soon.

Supporting the F&B Community

Since launching on the 1st of March, FoodKarma has waived commissions for all current brand partners on the app. This enables them to deliver delicious meals at discounted prices, without the burden of commission payments, to karma-conscious foodies within a 14km radius. By waiving these commissions, the FoodKarma team hopes to do its (little) bit to support local businesses and prevent job losses, while reducing food waste and continuing to promote sustainable and ethical food production, distribution and supply.
