BELKIN TARGETS FLEXIBLE WORKSPACE WITH THE DEBUT OF NEW THUNDERBOLT DOCK AT GITEX 2019
Belkin, the Connected Things division within the newly merged Belkin International and Foxconn Interconnect Technology (FIT) entity, will announce for the first time after IFA 2019, the Middle East availability of Thunderbolt 3 Pro Dock at GITEX Technology Week 2019.
The Thunderbolt Dock can transform any Mac or Windows laptop into a powerful workstation that supports both 4K and 8K displays and multiple ports for a wide range of connectivity solutions.
The unveiling of the Belkin Thunderbolt 3™ Pro Dock aims to capitalize on a movement within business culture towards the concept of “hotel desks”. Increasingly popular with both corporate offices and coworking spaces, these unassigned, operating-system agnostic desks provide employees with the flexibility to work wherever and whenever they wished to, while also retaining high-levels of productivity.

According to Colliers International’s “Coworking and Flexible Working Space” report, the commercial real estate services organization projects that by the end of 2020, there will be an influx of both new businesses and existing firms offering additional coworking and flexible office facilities in Dubai.
The company estimates that a minimum of between 320,000 to 530,000 square feet of space will be set aside for this subclass of office space. To date, Dubai currently has 53 coworking locations, which according to Colliers has increased by 130% since 2015 and consists of more than 650,000 square feet of flexible and coworking space.
