Multi Award-Winning West End Worldwide Joins INSOMNIA Dubai as ‘Official Entertainment Partner’
INSOMNIA Dubai, the Middle East’s biggest gaming festival, in partnership with Dubai-based events company, Global Event Management (GEM), has appointed international production company West End Worldwide as its ‘Official Entertainment Partner’. The multi award-winning team of producers, technical designers and cast, who have produced over 50 West End productions, are set to light up the INSOMNIA main stage with an explosive array of daily performances, at the 3-day all-out gaming spectacular, from Thursday, 17th October to Saturday, 19th October, right in the heart of the city at Meydan Grandstand.
West End Worldwide’s stunt and stage performers will produce showstopping game reenactments from Fortnite, Overwatch, Assassins Creed, and PUBG. The action-packed performances will be unleashed daily, providing fully costumed homages to the games they represent. A backdrop of LED screens will create morphing backdrops, combined with incredible lights and sound, to ensure everyone in attendance will witness a series of unmissable performances.
The Skate Squad, an incredibly talented team of roller-skaters, ice-skaters, skateboarders and extreme stunt-bladers, will be flying in from London, especially to perform at INSOMNIA Dubai. The mind-blowing international entertainment doesn’t stop there, though; The S3 Freestyle Team, which features the best street players of the moment, will be coming all the way from Paris to kick up a real storm at the INSOMNIA main stage.
Canadian host Alan J Roberts will be hosting the live stage action, supported by Bahrain Anchor Baraa Abdulla, with lots of competitions, including Just Dance, Lip Sync and, of course, Cosplay! Dubai 92’s Catboy will also be running a gaming quiz to find out who can outsmart the publishers. The sensational entertainment line-up will also feature demonstrations, workshops, influencer talks, special guest appearances, walkabout characters, retro flash mobs, meet and greets, and much more.
For all the Cosplayers out there, Friday, October 18th, will be will devoted to Gaming Cosplay. From the sublime to the intentionally ridiculous, INSOMNIA Dubai will have Cosplay competitions and experiences for all ages, levels and abilities. There will be top prizes on offer, including an impressive $8,000 which is up for grabs in the ‘Pro’ category, and $2,000 for the ‘Amateur’ category!
