GROHE reveals new technologies and sustainable advancements during 2019 Innovation Day

GROHE, the world’s leading single-brand manufacturer and supplier of sanitary fittings, showcased a wide range of sustainable product innovations at the 2019 Innovation Day held at Dubai’s Rixos Hotel. Leading architects, interior designers, and media attended the event, and interacted with GROHE’s bathroom solutions, kitchen systems, and intelligent water management solutions.

GROHE’s latest innovations aim to actively shape the future of the sanitary industry, with a focus on the conscious, economical use of energy through digitized water controls and intelligent water management. Across its range, the brand channels its inventive spirit to develop sustainable systems with the overarching aim of leaving a lasting positive impact on the environment.

The developments showcased at Innovation Day 2019 comprised a range of bathroom and kitchen fittings. The products included the GROHE Plus range of faucets, Essence Ceramics bathtubs, the Sensia Arena shower toilet, the Smart Control and Rapido Smartbox shower solutions, the Manual Bidet Seat, and GROHE’s Blue filtered faucets, including kitchen sinks. These latest launches highlight GROHE’s leading market position and the brand’s future-focussed direction.

The GROHE products on show
The new GROHE Plus range of modern faucets features a range of unique designs that offer new levels of ergonomic comfort and practical functions. Equipped with a LED temperature display, an eco-spray function to avoid water wastage, and a flexible swivel spout for optimum water utilization, GROHE Plus’s sleek, cutting-edge design is elevated by the brand’s ground-breaking technology.

Essence, GROHE’s first ever ceramic line of bathtubs, is the perfect combination of minimalism, style, and simplicity. The design line’s characteristics include gentle organic forms that have been reduced to essentials. GROHE goes far beyond design here, however, incorporating intuitive handling and easy installation of products into the Essence experience.

The new GROHE Rapido SmartBox provides architects, planners and installers with an infinite number of possible shower solutions with just one concealed installation. For maximum efficiency and planning flexibility, the concealed installation can be combined not only with the GROHE SmartControl shower system, but also with thermostats and single-lever mixers, offering a universal solution for all requirements.

GROHE Sensia Arena is a new generation of shower toilets that set the benchmark for personalized, clean comfort. The range harnesses the gentle and effective cleansing properties of water to help deliver optimum hygiene levels in the bathroom. The shower toilet features app control, which allows users to create and program personal profiles on any Sensia Arena anywhere in the world.

The GROHE Manual Bidet Seat offers targeted personal cleansing via two separate spray heads that can be programed to meet personal preferences. Made from hardwearing Duroplast, the seat itself creates an elegant visual addition to the bathroom, complete with a SoftClose mechanism for added convenience, and a seat control lever to control the cleaning function of the spray arms.

GROHE SmartControl Concealed and Exposed technologies have been developed to provide perfect ease of shower operation, as they allow users to choose their preferred spray pattern and adjust the water flow as desired. Operation has been simplified for all in the family to deliver an effortlessly relaxing shower experience.

For the kitchen, GROHE Blue Home is a water system that perfectly meets the needs of the modern home. It combines a tap with a cooler, integrated filter, and carbonator to deliver perfectly chilled still, medium or sparkling water directly from the tap. Thanks to its slim design, it can even be fitted into small spaces. Compared to premium bottled water, GROHE Blue Home cuts drinking water costs by up to 60 percent, while total carbon emissions are reduced by about 80 percent compared to bottled water.

The ability to control devices in your home via app or voice command is considered the technology of the future. With GROHE Sense and GROHE Sense Guard, GROHE, the world’s leading provider of sanitary fittings, offers all-round protection against water damage. The wireless-enabled sensors are to be installed in the basement, in the laundry room, in the bathroom or in the kitchen. The system notifies homeowners about any problems via the GROHE ONDUS App.

GROHE is now offering GROHE Allure Brilliant Icon 3D, faucets collection created using 3D metal-printing, taking product design and the joy of water to a whole new level.

GROHE’s 3D metal-printing process invites you to rediscover materiality: By reducing the shapes to their essentials, the corrosion-resistant steel used as a raw and at the same time highly castable material also comes to the fore in the final product. The reduction of the design to an absolute minimum and the emphasis on the pure essence of the shapes not only saves valuable resources, but also offers a new interactive experience of water.

During the Innovation Day exhibition, GROHE also hosted a raffle draw for its visitors with lots of exciting offerings.
